Ben Nevis via the CMD Arete (Carn Mor Dearg)

Join me on my first Vlog as I walk Ben Nevis via the CMD Arete.

An enjoyable day on Scotland and the UK’s highest mountain, walking a route a little less trodden but a lot more exciting than the Pony Track, Or more often known as the Tourist Route, these days.

As I explain in the Vlog, Ben Nevis was never a mountain that really appealled to me as a must climb or wishlist walk for me. I suppose that changed though when I first heard of the CMD Arete.

So what exactly is the CMD Arete, well it’s a fine ‘ridge walk’ from Carn Mor Dearg, Scotland’s 9th highest Munro. From CMD the ridge runs North To South and butts onto Ben Nevis. adjacent to the North Face. If you are lucky enough to remain cloud free on this walk, you are blessed with spectacular views and a day that will not be easily forgotten.

As I said, this was my first attempt at a Vlog. Forgive me in advance for my extended rambling, please feel free to push on to the actual walk at 7:34. The Vlog itself was done solely on my mobile phone and my first attempt at editing, and I’ll say it is not polished by any means, hopefully this will get better the more Vlogs I do.

In any case, I hope you enjoy.
