Tick Tock

Boo Ya! Nothing better than that Friday Feeling.

However, every day this week has seemed like an eternity!

clock-2

How many times have you listened to the clock in your head, tick tock and despaired?

Tick Tock
Tick Tock
Tick Tock
Tick Tock

Each swipe of the second hand on the clock , like the rise and fall of the sun for another day.  The mental torture of being cooped up at the office desk, the perpetual TAP TAP TAP of the key boards.  Or swinging a hammer on some wet dank building site and for each pounding thump to the nail head, crescendoing like the TOCK of the clock.

Ahhh!  That first drop of golden, cold, life giving beer.  “So what for the weekend”, I ask myself? CHINESE TAKEAWAY, FOOTBALL?  Seems like a plan.  Nothing much on tomorrow, until later anyway, it get’s better and better. I’m gonna get zeds, lots and lots of zzzzZZZEDS.

Monday comes.

And so it begins…….AGAIN!

To be honest, when I look at life in this manner.  It literally gives the me the realisation that a Midlife Crisis may not be that much of a CRISIS.  Why should deciding that there is more to that Ground Hog Day to day, week to week mundane existence that many us ‘live’ be a crisis.  The very thing that most of us can’t bear in our life, a cloud covered hamster wheel that we can’t get off. Probably 99% of us would like to change our career or travel to somewhere we’ve hankered for. A hankering that’s been there for so long, it seems puberty is less time past!

It may however, be that a jump from that ‘merry-go-round’ of a hamster wheel is the only way forward. The need to take a step right out our comfort zone is the only way.  Be it climb a mountain, learn to ski, leap from a plane, bungee from a bridge, swap your job, start a company.  Whatever! Possibly something that far out of your realm, that neither  your friends, family, EVEN YOURSELF BELIEVE IS POSSIBLE

Bungeeeee Is it age, perception, peers?  WHY and WHEN do we get this urge to change.  That point we contemplate our lives to the nth degree.  The feeling one can only assume a caged animal gets within an enclosure, an enclosure that will never reflect its true home.  The feeling of being in a mirror maze, where every corner you turn you see the same person staring back.  The one with the grim reaper looking over their shoulder.

Bungee thumbs

The Middle Corner will show you that a person can see a goal, achieve that goal and LIVE through what in modern times can be classed as a failure in life.  A mistake, a wrongdoing, a nostalgic dream, ‘A Midlife Crisis’ that will ultimately result in the collapse of everything.  Material or relationship.

The Middle Corner will tell the story of the people that have leaped in, lived and loved their Midlife Crisis!
